God damn, when will anything ever go smoothly! If you hadn’t noticed the site was down for a couple of days. I have only 1 word to say – hosts!

I received an e-mail a few days back warning of a hardware upgrade so when the site went offline I just took it as them having a few problems. So I gave it 12 hours and then when it still wasn’t back I dropped them a support query. It said to allow up to 24 hours for a response (I am Mr Cool!), so I did. When I woke up this morning there was still no website so I signed in to do a chaser support request when what do you know but I see that the old request has been closed. Looks like they replied to my query from within their own system, didn’t bother mailing me.

Anyhoo, the issue? They had retired their old name servers 6 months ago, they finally got switched off a few days ago for good. They’d not bothered to e-mail me on this at all, not once in the 6 months that they’d been phasing them out so the end result was a day or 2 of downtime. All for what takes 2 minutes to fix. Arse.

But anyway, I just came across this tune. I’ve always loved the Stone Roses but this remix of one of my favourite tracks put across nicely the new level of chilled’ness I’m feeling this year. I would have been steaming a year ago when stupid crap like this happens, this year I’ll just stick with shit happens.
