Adsense Holy Grail, A 10 Dollar Click!

Posted by Paul B | November 5, 2007 .

Last Friday, 14:53 GMT, something that has only ever seemed as real as the Lochness Monster, Big Foot and Vegetarians actually jumped out, said “here I am” and slapped me in the face. That was the exact date and time (OK, I might have made the time up) that I received my first and possibly last BIG Adsense single click. It actually weighed in at a whopping $10.46 for 1 click, one single click on an Adsense ad put over $10 in my bank account. Of course the first thing you do in that situation is add up how many clicks you’ve ever had multiply them by 10.46 and see how much money you would have made if every ad was as good as that one, doh! The second thing you do is work out how to get more people to that page in the hope of more ten dollar clicks. Thirdly and finally you get creating websites that hit the same niche with varying content because once you hit a little gold mine niche it’s much better that you bleed it dry whilst it’s still new. Even before this happened the average was several dollars per click so I should have really been paying more attention on driving traffic, it’s certainly got my attention now.

Am I going to reveal what website, niche this happened in? Not directly, where would be the fun in that? What I will say though is that the niche has been mentioned at least once on this blog before so best get searching. You’ll know you find it when you search Google and see search results with very little SERPS competition but with very expensive sounding ads!
