I bought my page on the , Million Dollar Wiki a week ago, I ended up with the excellent “online money Makers” page. The idea behind this project is simple, 10,000 pages sold at $100 each and you can do what you like (within reason) with your page. On my page I posted a few of my best money makers with a link to the Blog and also imbedded a copy of this blog at the bottom! All in it took about 10 minutes to setup, I will do more with it in the future. The deal here is that each page will run for a minimum of 15 years and you even have the option of selling your page for a profit.
So is it worth buying a page? I thought it would be interesting to look at some stats. I can see that for the previous week the www.milliondollarwiki.com was my biggest traffic referrer, referring a grand total 39 visitors. Of those 39 visitors more than 95% stuck around for more than 4 minutes and they all viewed more than one page. That’s pretty good targeting. IF things were to stay like that for the next 15 years that works out at 30420 visitors for my $100 or 0.003 cents a click. That works out very well against CPC traffic sources like Adwords, especially considering the visitor targeting I’m seeing at the moment. Even if it doesn’t take off and traffic dies down a lot I still can’t see a point at which this isn’t going to be worth doing. I’ve also not included the page views from the embedded version of the Blog on my wiki page and the possibility of the wiki gaining and passing page rank over time.
Overall I feel it’s been $100 well spent, the idea of a paid wiki may seem weird (after all how many people are going to be interested in advertising stuffed wiki) but the traffic seems to speak for itself. If you haven’t got your page yet then John Chow is offering a 10% discount , making it even better value for money. Finally, don’t forget that with the USD being so weak now is the perfect time for us non-US residents to be spending a little cash on marketing and link building.

I bought a page as well. I bought “dating site” and I write about it in my post today on my blog. I figure it is a personal challenge to make my page pay off.
I am on the fence for the milliondollarwiki.
$100 seem a bit too much for me to spend since I have just started out on the internet marketing. Will see how.
