In the past week I’ve noticed both the PR rankings and traffic to the half a dozen Blogger blogs I run crash. These are not junk blogs, in fact one is my main personal blog that sits in a great neighbourhood. Is this the end of Blogger blogs then?

And then just when everybody thought that Google search was starting to settle down again we now have something new to deal with. Has anybody else noticed an increase in their number of search impressions but a decrease in the number of clicks? You’re going to love this one!

Would anyone mind if I stopped calling new Google new Google and just called it Google instead? I’m sure we can take it as read that they aren’t going to roll back anything and the new Google is going to be the only Google? Good. Now in Google plenty of things have been going on and one of the most significant I have found is the importance of having your content indexed first.

As I mentioned previously Googles Panda update was not very kind to my more established websites, in fact it hit them very hard. You honestly wouldn’t believe how much work I’ve put into trying, testing and generally doing anything I can to find out where things have gone wrong and why those sites were penalised when other (frankly) much worse sites gained.

I’ve been away for a few weeks on holiday and as is usual I’ve come back to a massive crap storm (whenever I go on holiday something bad happens). The traffic on 5 of my websites has tanked badly and I’ve spent a few days picking through the pieces.

The more experienced you become at picking good domain names the more you learn how to pick and choose your battles. With a new source of top quality domains becoming affordable there is a wealth of niche choices to choose from but you have to box clever.
