Does anybody use Kontera, have you been paid this month? I’m starting to get a little worried, my money normally hits my account by the 7th of the month at the very latest. Still no sign. I’ve written to them, no answer, yet! I’ve just signed in to see if there is any news on what’s going on and have found that their SSL security certificate has expired. Sure it only expired on the 11th of February but I’ve never known a company that wasn’t in some form of trouble let a security cert expire, be it only 1 day. Late payment and no security cert, hmmm…..
If anybody knows what’s going on at Kontera will you please leave a comment?

I never really asked to be honest but I know that they are aware of this post.
Joshua, the official word of Kontera
informed me that my late payment was just a glitch, they take 48 hours to respond to payment enquiries (fair enough) and that :-
“Lastly, thanks again for all your understanding. We sincerely appreciate all your patience, while we remedied this matter, as well as the concern expressed on your web-site. Thankfully, Kontera continues to excel in the marketplace, despite the difficult economic climate plaguing so many other companies and industries.”

Hi,
My name is Vered and I’m from Kontera.
Paul, thanks for this post and I’m glad to read that your inquiry has already addressed.
John, we attribute great importance to publisher support and I apologize for the highly irregular incident you’re describing. If you’ll email me (vered[@]Kontera.com) your Kontera account information, I’ll look into the impression drop you described as well as check what caused this regrettable delay.
Thanks again,

Hi vered,
I sent an email to your address, in case it’s been filtered to your spambox, could you check Kontera Support Case # 00051136.
Thank you for your help. Hope you can explain this drop in impression and revenue!
(And thank you Paul B!)

Vered did reply to my email. But just to answer that the drop is nothing to worry about… Can’t be fully satisfied with such an answer.
So I send back an email to vered and Kontera support asking for a few questions:
***
- Is it against the Kontera publisher TOS to use a split script that for visitor A shows kontera and visitor B shows an alternative intext advertising solution? such a script would avoid showing both advertising solutions at the same time (it would be 50% of the time kontera showing up and 50% the other).
- A variation on the previous question: Can I limit kontera to American traffic and use an alternative for other countries on the same site?
- What is the procedure if I want to stop using Kontera on one site of my network (while keeping it on the others) ?
- and in case is there a way to manage my unsold inventory (the traffic Kontera is not using)?
***
Adsense or Tribal Fusion would allow to do so, let’s hope that Kontera does allow the same flexibility!
Also I start checking alternatives to Kontera:
- InfoLinks
- EchoTopic
- Vibrant Media
Vered we all hope to hear from you on the questions above!
Paul maybe you already have some of the answers?
