They whoever they are say that one of the best ways of building traffic when you launch a new website is to give something away for free. The trouble is that you have to give something away that people will find useful and has some value. Avoid passing on crap is what I think they mean? Well seeing as how this blog has nearly made it to the grand old age of 2 weeks I thought it was about time to give something away.

What I’m giving you is my very own tool for monitoring Adsense Earnings. I know from experience that as you get more and more into making money online you also tend to check your stats more often, taking you away from things you could be doing to earn more money! One of these jobs for Adsense Whorres like me is to check your daily earnings, this is something I was doing maybe 20 times a day at my worst and I know I’m not the only one! Eventually seeing this as a problem I decided to develop a small program that would update me during the day with my earnings, so Adsense Alert was born. It’s a simple little program that sits in the tray area of your desktop (PC only I’m afraid) and reports your earnings to you every half an hour or so. You can also set a maximum of 5 goal amounts and a sound to play when each is passed. It’s all very simple but it works, or at least it has been for the last 3 months I’ve been using it.

In order to run it you’ll need the .net Framework 2.0, seeing as how it’s a standard part of Windows Update anybody running a windows PC should have it installed anyway but if not then you can find it here.
