Traffic Kahuna Goes Live - They’re Not Getting My Money

This whole Adsense thing has got me in a bad mood so I’m just not in the right frame of mind to be receiving the next earth shattering offer on the internet.

Unlucky then for Traffic Kahuna who have sent me an e-mail promising all the traffic under the sun, I’ve seen so many of these link exchange programs that I want to puke. Even if they could deliver there are a few things that have got my alarm bells ringing:-

WHEN YOU COMPLETE YOUR PURCHASE, YOU, THE BUYER, ARE CLAIMING THAT YOU HAVE READ, ACCEPTED, AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. WHICH INCLUDES A ZERO REFUND POLICY ON ALL RECURRING FEES (FEES ARE BILLED ON A 30 DAY CYCLE). REFUNDS ARE ONLY OFFERED ON THE INITIAL PAYMENT FOR A 30 DAY PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE, NO EXCEPTIONS.

When a company is unwilling to refund a recurring payment then I’m not interested in buying what they’re selling. It’s an open invitation to eventually rip people off.

The second point:-

is exactly the same sort of disclaimer that you see over various “rich clubs”, one of which I was a member once. On one hand they claim to be able to deliver the sort of results that will see your online business soar yet on the other it might actually do jack shit. If what they are selling doesn’t work then it’s your fault for being stupid, or so the disclaimer says. I think this is one traffic building product I’ll skip.

    Hi Paul - sounds like a lot of the so called business opportunities out there.

    Thanks for making everyone aware of it. There are too many idiots our there promoting shite when they know the product is shite.

    Perhaps you misunderstood a couple of things.
    1) Anyone joining Traffic Kahuna has a right to a full refund for up to 30 days after payment. If after that time one decides to stay then there is no need for refunds. The client will have already made a choice to stay and if one then chooses to leave one simply stops paying. This is normal practice and fair to both parties.
    Why,in all fairness would you feel a refund was appropriate after several months of membership?

    2) There are legal requirements upon busineses to make clear the limitations of an offer. For example Tk make no claim to how much money one might earn and they must make that clear in the terms and conditions. They make it very clear that you are the one doing the work and that the outcome is thus down to you.
    Bear in mind that you do the work using a set of tools.
    If you are a bad carpenter you do not make a claim for poor workmanship against the hammer maker. You either learn to be a good carpenter or stop trying to be a carpenter.

    TK gives you 30 days to decide if the hammer is any good or if you are a good carpenter. The terms of service simply make that relationship clear.

    Sadly there is not a special form of words that is used by scam artists and genuine businesses, both have to follow the same rules and laws in terms of what they tell potential clients.

    1. Glad you asked. When after a couple of months the service/product offered is changed. This happens all the time with online services and allows the company in question to take that one final payment, shut up shop/completely alter what they are gibing you without offering a refund. A great example of how recurring membership fees should work is a TV subscription, if I stop my subscription part way through a month that I have previously paid for then I expect and will get a refund for that part month I didn’t use. Online ” members” clubs shy away from this business model for no other reason than greed, it’s not exactly hard to implement?

    As for the disclaimer, I agree, it’s a very standard thing. The problem I have with it is that it is hidden away (Tiny white writing on a bright blue background)?

    It’s just my opinion but I think with these types of thing 1 or 2 people do very well out of it and many people are left scratching their heads. Seeing as how it sold out in 14 minutes though what the hell do I know?!

    For your information, TK is the best investment I have ever made since I started in this online biz (apart from the XsitePro Cheat Sheet by James Shramko).

    TK IS NOT a rip-off in any way. I take it you are already successful in your online ventures ? If not, please do yourself a favour and sign-up for TK. My website reached #3 for a keyword that every internet marketer would tell me was impossible to rank for in Google “because there is too much competition”. All you need is the “right” type of links, and those are within the TK system. As a result of my ranking I managed to make just over $2000 in 11 days !! Prior to that I was lucky to earn $500 in a month.

    Bottom line. TK is not a waste of money. Their billing is done through PAYPAL, which YOU can cancel whenever YOU want. They are not frauds at all…..

    Hope this helps clarify a few things.
